Collaborative and compact

The fully collaborative Universal Robots robotic arm brings the flexibility of an open platform whilst removing the need for bulky safety enclosures or complex training. The arm's intelligent force-sensing technology allows users to work safely in close proximity with the system whilst the compact size allows easy integration into an established laboratory process, without compromising safety.

MultiDose is engineered for minimal human intervention, automatically managing errors and out-of-tolerance dispenses to maximise uptime and allow technicians to focus on critical tasks.

Customisable MultiDose can be purchased straight 'off the shelf' or it can be custom built. This could include additional module/s or we can integrate it into a glovebox, or an enclosure for air filtration for example.

How does MultiDose work?

Quality engineering, robust software

From beginning to end, the MultiDose workflow is engineered to minimise the need for human intervention, even in the event of errors and out-of-tolerance dispenses. Maximise your uptime and free up your technicians for the work that matters.

Larger capacity for longer runtimes

Process more vials with less system interaction. MultiDose allows for 6 different SBS format racks to be processed in one run. With the capacity for 56 different dosing heads on the carousel, minimise the need to swap out materials.

Smart pre-run validation

Make sure you never return to incomplete runs due to lack of material. RFID tracking of dosing heads validates that enough of the correct solids are loaded on the system to complete the run.

Dosing head de-clog attempt

Don’t let a little powder clog stop your runs. When a low flow rate is detected, the system intelligently mimics human action by inverting and shaking the dosing head to clear blockages and minimise downtime.

Autonomous, interchangeable gripper fingertips

Let the system handle different vial types without your interference. The gripper’s magnetic fingertip adaptors enable seamless, automated switching between up to six vial types, allowing uninterrupted multi-format processing in a single run without the need for human intervention.

Live consumable replenishment

Need to interact with the process run without the hassle of resetting the system? Users can pause a run at any point to access racks and consumables or add new plates for processing. Upon resuming, the system automatically scans for new dosing heads and continues where it left off.

Priority rack setup

Make the system’s priorities line up with your own. With the priority rack feature, users can pause a run mid-process, allocate or load a new rack, and prioritise it for immediate processing, ensuring urgent tasks are completed without disrupting the workflow.

Spares racks

Eliminate the headache of fishing out faulted/out-of-tolerance vials from a rack of vials. MultiDose allows a user to equip one of our six deck locations with a rack of empty, spares vials. When a spares rack is configured, the MultiDose will attempt to switch an out of tolerance vial for a fresh vial from the spares rack and re-dispense to tolerance, resulting in a full rack of successful dispenses.
